“From the outset of my training Dan was on board with my ambitions and expectations. The plan he set me for my Ironman was very much tailored to my personal strengths and weaknesses, and the gradual changes in focus and build in intensity meant that I was able to patch up the holes in my abilities while ensuring that I retained an edge to the key talents that would lead me to a strong performance.

Dan’s calm and measured approach was greatly appreciated and reassuring – particularly with my tendency to get flustered, overexcited or panicked! Dan was very quick to pick up the areas that I needed to work on, and he was quick to respond and adapt when I had feedback or needed advice (or had injured myself again).

Although I entered the season with some lofty goals for some of my key races that didn’t quite go to plan, with Dan’s help I was able to reach a target that I never would have imagined that I was capable of before working with him. I will definitely be sticking with Dan to push on with my progress again next year!”

“Dan has worked with me since the start of my running career building the foundations of my knowledge around strength and conditioning, nutrition and recovery. He’s helped me to understand my biomechanics – my strengths and limitations – and developed and implemented a long-term plan alongside me to address my weaknesses. He’s great fun to work with, gets stuck in with you and always delivers a personalised adaptive easy to follow programme and service.

I wholeheartedly believe that strength and conditioning and recovery work and so Dan’s input has played a fundamental role in my progression. I’m excited to see how far I can take my running and look forward to having Dan’s support on the journey. Too many runners can be reactive, investing large sums in recovering from injury , whereas a pre-emptive conditioning approach can help avoid the injury frustrations, the inconsistency and improve your running form and power – which all simply converts to greater enjoyment of our hobby.”

“I started with another coach at the beginning of the year and found he wasn’t very attentive to my feedback and that the plan seemed to be a bit of a ‘plan for all’ rather than specific to me. In contrast to this I’ve found Dan’s style and expertise in coaching very suited and tailored for me. He takes note of what my goals are and the (constant) events that I use to try and get there. I certainly don’t think I’m an easy one to make plans for because of this but he copes with this no problem at all. Every week is a taper week aye Dan?!

He was able to firstly get me into triathlon Age grouping which I was doubtful of making the cut, and then come the big event I’ve never felt more ready to go and perform on race day! I surpassed my targets and can’t wait to see what I’m capable of for the upcoming Spring marathon.

I would highly recommend Dan (and have) to anyone looking to get a coach and look forward to another year of PBs!! “

“I had one goal for 2015 and that was to age group. Not only did I do that but I did it twice, I qualified to race at both the ETU European Championships and the ITU world Championships. Within 8 weeks of starting training with Dan, I placed 2nd in an Age Group GB qualifier race. I have really enjoyed having Dan as a coach, I switched to Dan quite late in the building phase of my training and wish that I had started the season training with him. He has helped me to achieve my goals and surpass them, he is easy to contact, good value and took my needs and schedule into account and plus he is a really nice guy! This year I’m turning my attention to the marathon, training has started, its kicking my butt currently but I have no doubt that Dan will set me up to smash my PB! “
